比賽組別：String Quartet, Wind Quintet, Saxophone Quartet, Brass Quintet
年齡限制：between May 18, 1975 and May 17, 1995
申請截止：November 1, 2010 (Postmark Deadline)

錄影音甄選：A recording of a performance of the ensemble must be made on or after April 1, 2010 as specified below:

Ensembles applying for the Competition must record one complete work each for the 1st and 2nd rounds respectively.

◆ 1st Round Two of the works listed below must be performed in any order the quartet chooses.

【1】One of the following:

J. F. Haydn: String Quartet op.20 (any one)
W. A. Mozart: ’Prussian’ Quartets K.575, K.589 or K.590
L. v. Beethoven: String Quartet op.18 (any one)

【2】One of the following:

C. Debussy: String Quartet in g minor, op.10
L. Janacek: String Quartet (any one)
M. Ravel: String Quartet in F major
B. Smetana: String Quartet No.1 in e minor "From my life"

◆ 2nd Round Two of the works listed below must be performed in any order the quartet chooses.

【1】One of the following:

J. Brahms: String Quartet (any one)
F. Mendelssohn: String Quartet (any one)
R. Schumann: String Quartet (any one)

【2】One of the following:

B. Bartok: String Quartet No.3, Sz85, No.4, Sz91 or No.5, Sz102
A. Berg: Lyric Suite
A. Ginastera: String Quartet (any one)
T. Hosokawa: Silent Flowers (Schott Music)
G. Ligeti: String Quartet No. 1
A. Nishimura: String Quartet No.2 "Pulses of Light" (Zen-On Music)
A. Schoenberg: String Quartet No.3, op.30 or No.4, op.37
D. Shostakovich: String Quartet (any one)

◆ Final Round Two of the works listed below must be performed in any order the quartet chooses.

【1】One of the following:

L. v. Beethoven: String Quartet No.14, op.131 or No.15, op.132
F. Schubert: String Quartet No.14, D 810 or No.15, D 887

【2】The following Japanese composer s work:

T. Saruya: String Quartet "Aither, The Beorht"

Note: The scores will be sent to the quartets approved for the participation four months prior to the start of the Competition.
